| Insight also detatches the attachments from emails and saves them into
| our cache. (core.exe attaches them, insight.exe detatches them)

| Alas, it's not that simple. Some of my keyword changes are
| integeral to the way my core works, and they are the result 
| of major improvements in memory use and code size. These things
| were not changed on a whim, believe me. Keywords have never stopped
| changing and they never will stop changing, I can't move forward
| if I can't cut out defective stuff and add new stuff. Anyway,
| it really isn't that big of a deal, I swap back and forth between
| my core, Joes, and Glenn's at the push of a button, and I use the
| same arachne.cfg for all three, you need only add that small section
| at the bottom.  As for arachne.bat, that is totaly different, and
| *has* to be swapped. But again, that is the result of changes in the
| code that save thousands of bytes in memory used.

| far less cleaning up than yours since ARACHNETEMP is *always* used,

| as required so there is no need to delete them, and I often need to
| look at them, so I leave them there. But hey, for general use,
| I agree, the cleanup should be done, it's not an issue.

| On this testers' board, as I TAB the FFF it changes color as it

| of the board. Also, the blue links turn red. However, when it stops
| at the fill-in boxes, the corner of this message box, the show xxx

| color. In my case here it remains white. It is supposed to change
| to yellow which it does at the links in blue letters.

| make a DOS install disk. I keep getting an error msg saying

| BTW, I ran my core using and unmodified (1.83 style) .cfg and it
| worked just fine, but I'd still add the [RAY] section at the bottom

| into an aluminum head or block?  I have never had a valve problem
| caused by unleaded gas that I know of. However, I did have to junk
| a '69 Buick Century before I could figure out why it was back-firing
| the last time it ran. My '73 Mustangs never seemed to be affected.
| Also, 37 year old '65 Olds still seemed to be working OK and that
| never had the heads taken off in over 200,000 miles. However, I do
| have a couple of lawnmowers that need valve jobs.

| The only way I was able to do it was to 1st printout my partition
| table while in Linux and the using Liunx fdisk I deleted all of the DOS

| I then created a FAT16 partition to install Win98 onto and rebooted with
| the Win98 CD in the CD-drive.

| After installing Win98, I then rebooted into Linux and recreated all of
| the DOS patitions at the exact same points they had already existed
| before. Saved the changes and rebooted.

| Now... _after_ the install is done... 'hiding' the DOS partitions _does_
| work to keep them hidden from Win98 so that it can't f***-up anything.
|
| It's just during the initial install process that 'hiding' ain't good enough
|
|

| sure what might happen, but it's only taking a needless chance to

| I'm not clear how 'U' gets to the options page, anyway I went to
| preffs & perf the old fasioned way, and tried to duplicate your
| result, but all was fine. If you ended up at the prompt after
| the 'mode' command this is probably a $roura% thing. Sounds to me
| like it can't re-find arachne. My .bat will create a 'roura.log'
| file which should show the contents of all $roura$'s, I'd take a
| look in there. Also, there could be a path or an ARACHNETEMP
| glich. It is quite possible that I've done something in that
| department that works fine here but not under command.com or
| something of that nature. BTW, make sure you are using the apropritate
| .bat or anything can happen.

| There are two simple ways to "save a singel posting" from this board:
| 1.  Click FFF on each line of the post (as I've done with your post 361)
| 2.  Press "C"(compose), then, in the ComposeEmail text entry window,
| press ALT-V, which will paste it into the textarea.

| I determined that.  Maybe by trial & error.  I know I decided that the
| safe way for video resolution was to use the default. Using anything but
| default for video often caused problems. Video cards seem to be touchy
| beasts and when video gets screwed up one is severly crippled. I can try
| ESC after selecting setup directory next time if you wish.
