The router/modem has memory and stores and acts as a processor of the connection data which it then passes on the intranet. The IP from the ISP is assigned to the modem not to the individual computer on the intranet. So to get the DNS's one has to somehow read the data stored in the modem/router. With my situation w/library it was different. I could still use the actual DNS addresses. You can't do that with your DNS connection because you need to use the intranet IP to address your modem/router. Then the modem router uses the "real" DNS address. | ||||||||||||||||||

The MPLAYER download connection/progress screen clearly IDed all three of them as .flv. 2. When I clicked on them (all three, one after another) I got a long string of "unsupported codec" errors, then MPLAYER terminated. 3. I went and clicked on several older (6-8 months ago) .FLVs and they played alright. QUESTION: Have they added some new coding scheme, one that MPLAY wasn't compiled to handle....??? | ||||||||||||||||||
