A MARVEL OF MARVELS
My experience involved death-rebirth and
the Word which is with God and which is God
and which became flesh and dwelt among us, a religion which is half religious atheism and
half pantheism,
the true chemical philosophy,Philosopher's
Stones which the builders rejected--both pantheism and
materialism are forms of monism, the
belief that the All consists of one substance, "spirit-matter," and
not a mind separated from the body. As the Gospel of Thomas puts
it, Jesus' mind-
body philosophy was, "If the mind came from the body, it is a
marvel. But if the body came from the mind, it is a marvel of
marvels. But I wonder how this great wealth came to be in the
midst of this great poverty." This Logos is similar to what Teilhard
described: one World Equation, a reductionistic one, struggling
it's way upwards to meet the Maker which makes things make
themselves, the other an effulgence of the All as a second World
Equation which is holistic. It is, in addition, an attempt to
rehabilitate Jung's archetypes as
active filters compared to the static filters which are
instincts.
