St. PATRICK'S DAY
or
(how the drove the "Norwegians"out of Ireland)

We celebrate March 17 in commeration of St. Patrick's great noble deed - driving the Norwegians out of Ireland. It seems that, centuries ago many Norwegians came to Ireland to escapee the bitterness of the Norwegian winters. Ireland was having a famine at the time and food was scarce. The Norse were eating most of the fish caught in the area, leaving the Irish with nothing but potatoes.

St. Patrick, taking matters into his own hands, decided the Norwegians had to go. Secretly he orgamized the Irathicans (Irish) Republican Army to ridn the Ireland of the Norseman. The Irathicans sabatoged all power plants in hope the fish in the Norwegians refigerators would spoil. The fish spoiled as expected. But the Norwegians thrive on spoild fish.

Faced with failure, the Irishmen sneaked into the Norse fish storage house during the night and sprinkled the rotten fish with lye, hoping to poison the intuders. But as everyone knows this Lutefisk was introduced to the Norwegains and they thrived on the lye soaked smelly fish.

things became even worse for the Irish when the Norse started taking over the potatoe crop and making Lefase. Poor St. Pat was at hid wits end. Finally on March 17, he blre his cok and told the Norwegians all to go to hell. It worked, they all apcked up , left Ireland, and came to North Dakoa.
